Cornyn praises Senate ACORN vote

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.) on Tuesday morning praised the Senate’s vote yesterday to strip funding from the community organizing group ACORN, which is embroiled in voter registration fraud scandal.

The second-term Republican praised Sen. Mike Johanns (R-Neb.), a member of the Housing and Urban Affairs Committee who proposed an amendment blocking grant money from the Department of Housing and Urban Development directed toward ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now).

Cornyn tweeted:

Glad to have such a strong vote on acorn funding in Senate. What an abuse of taxpayer dollars. Bravo Mike Johanns

    Cornyn is worthless for the people of Texas. He votes where the corporate money is every time against the people. He need to go being one of the obstructionist from the pafty of NO
